Kemasukan EV perlu disokong ekosistem lengkap

KUALA LUMPUR: Kemasukan kenderaan elektrik (EV) murah ke pasaran negara tidak boleh hanya tertumpu kepada penjualan, sebaliknya perlu disokong ekosistem lengkap termasuk kemudahan pengecas awam.

Menteri Pelaburan, Perdagangan dan Industri, Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani berkata, kerajaan tidak menghalang perkembangan teknologi EV tetapi kemasukan teknologi baharu itu tidak boleh dilaksanakan secara agresif tanpa mengambil kira kesiapsiagaan infrastruktur negara.

Katanya, situasi itu berbeza dengan kenderaan enjin pembakaran dalaman (ICE) yang telah mempunyai ekosistem kukuh selepas dibangunkan sejak sekian lama merangkumi pusat servis, alat ganti dan rangkaian stesen minyak.

“Kalau hendak membawa masuk EV murah ke negara ini, dua perkara perlu dipastikan. Pertama, pihak yang membawa masuk kenderaan itu mesti memastikan ekosistemnya turut diwujudkan.

“Kalau tiada ekosistem dan hanya mahu menjual kereta, ia akan menjadi masalah kepada rakyat yang membeli,” katanya ketika berucap pada Majlis Perasmian Pusat Servis Flagship Autodeutsch Petronas AutoExpert di sini semalam.

Menurut Johari, kemudahan pengecas awam juga perlu disediakan secara meluas memandangkan tidak semua pengguna EV mempunyai akses untuk mengecas kendera­an di rumah.

Katanya, pengguna yang menetap di perumahan se­perti pangsapuri, flat atau Projek Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) berkemungkinan menghadapi kesukaran berikutan kekangan pengurusan bangunan serta kapasiti bekalan elektrik.

“Kalau penduduk flat membeli EV murah tetapi tidak ada pengecas awam, akhirnya mereka akan mengadu kepada kerajaan kerana kemudahan itu tidak disediakan,” katanya.

Johari berkata, kerajaan turut bertanggungjawab memastikan pembangunan industri automotif bergerak seiring dengan perubahan teknologi tanpa menjejaskan ekosistem sedia ada. – UTUSAN
